Maryland's share of the DMV stretches from the leafy suburbs of Montgomery County to the waterfront of National Harbor and the corridor that leads to BWI and Baltimore. Trips here tend to be longer and more varied than in the District, and route choice matters.

Typical trips

Airport transfers dominate: BWI from Montgomery and Prince George's counties, DCA from Bethesda and Silver Spring, and IAD from the western suburbs via the Beltway. We also handle corporate travel along the I-270 technology corridor, appointments at the medical campuses in Bethesda, weddings at estates and inns in the countryside, and evenings at National Harbor.

Timing notes

The Capital Beltway and I-270 are congested in both directions during commuter hours. The Intercounty Connector is a reliable link between Montgomery County and I-95 for BWI runs. The Baltimore-Washington Parkway carries heavy traffic in the afternoon and on holiday weekends. We choose the route on the day, and we build the margin into the pickup time rather than hoping.
